New York Senator looking to Re-instate ‘assault weapons’ this week
From The Shooting Wire-
“The most disturbing news from Congress this week concerns a former Representative turned Senator who appears to have done a complete 180 when it comes to guns. We’re hearing disturbing reports that junior New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, once a holder of the NRA’s top rating for her pro-gun stance in the House, is preparing to introduce an assault weapons ban, possibly as early as this week. Long Island’s “Newsday” is reporting that in the past three months, Gillibrand has “undergone a transformation” and has become an ally of Representative Carolyn McCarthy, the author and sponsor of HR 6676, which would use the NICS system for background checks on gun store employees and dealers - among other things.”
Evidently Senator Gillibrand has gone from one of the most sympathetic firearm supporters to the one leading the witch hunt in a few short months. We will keep an eye on this one as more information comes out, we’re not sure right now if the ‘assault weapons’ ban she’s pushing for will mirror the 1994 ban or the ‘assault weapons’ ban President Obama has vowed to bring back. As of now, details are few and far between, but it looks like Senator Gillibrand is taking things into her own hands and isn’t content waiting for the White House to fulfill its campaign promises. For the time being it seems we all just get to wait, and hope the next shipment of Noveske’s gets here soon.
We strongly recommend reading the entire article (click here) as they weigh in on several other issues, prominently among them the expanded regulatory powers of the BATFE we touched on yesterday.

The reason I NEVER vote democrat for any elected office.
This smacks of a pay for policy scheme. There are few things that can make a man who possesses even little bit of integrity to have a sudden change of heart. Mostly either a pay off, or blackmail. I wonder if that is the case, such a mystery, these politicians who can’t keep their focus once they arrive in Washington.
